Now that said, had I had to go and use the entire 9GB file, well, it would have done it, but would have had to run for days to go through all 8 characters, then all 9 until it found it. I just did a head and a tail on the files, till I found which one I knew it was in, and it cracked in like 20 minutes on a crappy dual core laptop with BT5. Cracked the wifes wifi(which I already knew the range it was in since I told her that her boss was an idiot for using just numbers and only as long as 9 characters). 5 peaces? The text file i meen? :-)I made a 9+gb sequential numbers 00000000-999999999 file and aircrack used it fine, but I do see your issue, it would take days to crack something, so I used the linux split command (Read the help file) and made like a shit ton of 50mb files. Anyone have a solution for how we could split it into. I know for a fact that aircrack-ng cant take TO large files at once. Hope this helps any one who is starting out and learning about pen testing and network security, and don't forget to seed for others! My wordlist is compiled from all known & some unknown internet sources such as ģ. This is my final series of WPA-PSK wordlist(S) as you can't get any better than this ! Would also just like to point out that this is not my work, instead it was a guy who compiled a whole load of useful lists, including his own to come up with 2 lists (one is 11gb and one is 2gb) i will be seeding this torrent indefinitely since it is shareware! 20mb up! The list contains 982,963,904 words exactly no dupes and all optimized for wpa/wpa2. Just thought i would share the link for those who are looking for a decent list to pen test their networks. My OC didn't really convey that.Compressed File Size: 4.4gb Decompressed File Size: 13gb Judo Chop Edit to make it clear that breaking someones network down is still technically illegal. I saw down in the thread that you all really like your Netflix, that is a big BW hog at times on less than stellar connections, the lady might start calling if her connection slows down too much too often.Īnother thought, if you live in an area that has data caps on the service connections, you might run that nice lady downstairs up a HUGE bill by accident if you help her chew through her plan early. Even if you were found out, the most the cable company might do is come out to secure the ladies wi-fi with a stronger encryption type (and that's a really small chance they could be motivated to do that and only if it's their equipment). Someone would have to be on-site to find you out (and they still wouldn't see you, just your traffic and MAC tied to the router) and have to know what they were doing in the first place. Are black helicopters gonna show up overhead because of this, no. The laws don't start really kicking in until you start tampering with the things that are on her network (i.e breaking into her computer). Are you thieving anything from them, not really, you're just using their access point. Is it morally right to use something someone else is paying for without asking, probably not. I'm not sure how you would do that on a PS3 though, perhaps you could use a programmable router that can bridge your neighbors network and have it spoof it's MAC and then feed an internet connection to you PS3 and other devices. This great helps my anonymity on any network I connect to. You can also fake your computers MAC address quite easily, I even have a startup script on mine that generates a random one for me every time I boot my machine. So while what you're doing is technically illegal I'd say there's only like a 10% chance of any negative repercussions. That being said most owners would just up and change their network password, maybe learn a bit about proper wifi security and move on with their lives. From the MAC address the owner "could" get the police involved and they "might" track you down if they go to the manufacturer and find out who bought the machine. The MAC address is a unique id assigned to a network device such as the wifi card in your laptop and PS3. Specifically it stores the MAC address and device name, such as STEVES-MACBOOK. A router keeps logs for a certain period of time of all the devices that connect to the network.
